Recommend something good…

I made a comment the other day about the Typography directory on here being mostly full of crap. So today I’m recommending Chris Piascik for said directory. He was one of the people that inspired me to get back into what I love doing and to start this project.  So go check out his tumblr if you like hand drawn type.

I never normally do this recommend thing, but I’m going to start recommending decent stuff every week in the hope of making the directories worthwhile. So please do the same, it doesn’t have to be typography, just recommend something other than horrendous “slogan over blurry photo” blogs run by children who think they’re now famous.

Some of you may have also noticed the little bit of subliminal advertising above… Feel free to recommend me for something too… Haha. These are lyrics from the song Follow me by The Doors. I’ve been listening to them a lot lately and it’s easy to forget how brilliant they are. So my next 8tracks playlist is going to be a Doors one, and the spoken word one will come sometime in the future.
